multi-disciplinary lab, awesome international team, cool tools and models
Concluding the Gerontomics project, our Institute is pleased to invite you for a scientific workshop discussing the results and collaborations obtained in the project, on August 30th, in a cross academia-industry forum.

The present talk is dedicated to knowledge distillation (KD) and, in particular, the teacher-student approach to neural network training. The distillation of neural networks nowadays is popular in Natural Language Processing (NLP). The original motivation for using it is because of very large models and training datasets; such networks are hard to be used in practice, especially for real-time applications. Other use cases of KD include restrictions on original training data or the problem of access to them. We will show that KD and teacher-student learning is more robust than the generative approach to making artificial training data; it produces data that maintain similarity with real-world ones. Finally, we will discuss the application of KD approach to the world of *omix problems. Zoom link for the talk: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/75357667457?pwd=R1JRYUllUjBmdEpRYWI5dnd2NkFxUT09
